Hi
What is the minimum time between two 3PAR Snapshot? (e.g. 30 minutes for P4000)
Do we have any document for this?
Eddie

Re: 3PAR minimum time for snapshot
I do not think so there is a minimum timeframe as such. If you execute a CLI snap of a group of volumes and then issue the command again against the same group they will run serially as far as I know. I’m not why you would want snaps less than a few minutes apart, say 10 min but that is possible.

Yes i think 2-10 minutes is okay.

SolutionAs far as the array is concerned, I have not seen any minimum documented anywhere. The testing results would vary on factors like your environment, type of snapshot, nature of data etc....

Re: 3PAR minimum time for snapshot
If you are using "createsv -ro", it mentions it blocks the host I/O, unless -noblock is used.
Otherwise you can create them as fast as you can type. ;-)
