Can 3par connect to third-party storage(act as the back-end storage)?

Hi Everyone,

I'm not sure whether 3par can connect the third-party storage? The third-party storage works in backend, and provide the PD to 3par?

There is Peer Motion to import volumes from specific vendors.

Online Import (Peer Motion) migrates volumes from specific vendors to 3PAR. How I understood dennischen's question was for a 3PAR system to use third-party storage in place of 3PAR physical disks.
The answer is still "no". 3PAR can import/migrate volumes from third-party storage, but all target space on the 3PAR resides on 3PAR physical disks.

@Sheldon Smith: I understood dennischen's question was for a 3PAR system to use third-party storage in place of 3PAR PDs.

Yes I understood that but wanted to mention what 3PAR could do, if that was useful.

Yes, exactly. Thanks for the answer.
