Error during 3PAR 7200c initialization
Hello, I haver just configured a SP for a 3PAR 7200c.
Now is started the array initialization wizard, but is locked on following error (see also attached picture):
Error: The cache server is waiting for the system manager to finish reporting the system configuration and status
Ther array has only one enclosure (base system) with 10 1.2TB hdd
This is my first 3PAR setup and I don't know how solve this.
thanks in advance

Re: Error during 3PAR 7200c initialization
I have never seen this message before, maybe you just need to wait a couple of minutes?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Error during 3PAR 7200c initialization
I'm waiting for about one hour. I have also powered off the array without luck.

Re: Error during 3PAR 7200c initialization
I have told to HP that that asked me to check the node green LED. On node0 was solid green, and on node1 was blinking; it seems that the cluster is not correctly configured.
Asked me to connect to the console and use the option #6 on both nodes to reset the configuration.
After that both leds are solid green, but as soon as I run the initialization wizard from SP, one led come back to blinking.
SP and Both nodes are connected to the same switch. TCP/IP are configure as follow:
network: 10.10.xxx.xxx
mask: 255.255.252.0
def. gw: 10.10.3.254
SP ip address: 10.10.0.104
3PAR ip address must be: 10.10.0.105
There is something wrong to the network configuration ?
I also have tried to connect SP, 3PAR and my pc to the standalone switch, but it did not work.
Any idea ? Is possible to fully setup and initialize the array from console and then connect it to SP ?
tnx
davide

Re: Error during 3PAR 7200c initialization
Now I'm trying to use the direct serial console connection.
Have done option #6 on both nodes to wype the configuration, and then option #1 to run ootb setup.
The system is in "waiting for the cluster to form" and cannot go forward. Both nodes led are solid green.
thank you to all can help me

Re: Error during 3PAR 7200c initialization
As a very first step I would double check the cabling between nodes and nodes and enclosures. Looks like a communication issue between the nodes.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

If you have access to the CLI, you might try using: showsysmgr -d

[SOLVED] Re: Error during 3PAR 7200c initialization
HP today replaced the enclosure and everything started to work perfectly !
Was an hardware issue on the backplane, that did not allow two nodes to communicate.
Thanks to all
