Re: hpe 3par storeserv file controller v3 Iscsi Target Issue

Hi Sandip,

Good day :)

There are some limitations with iscsi taget connections.

Supported and tested Microsoft iSCSI Software Target 3.3 limits :
Initiators that can connect to the same iSCSI target instance 16

When used with MPIO, you can connect no more than 4 sessions per initiator.

As currently you are saying 8 hosts connected and 8 hosts not connected.

This looks you may be using dual paths connection for same target which is allowing 8 hosts.

there is enforced limit 16 initiators per target.

Hope this answer is helpful for you.

thank you!

Hi Sandip,

There are no changes with iscsi limit, it is generic with iscsi limit and not specific to OS.

As i found no other documentation specific to Windows 2016 with any changes observed.

Thanks.
