Pawlowski addresses the pivot from the conventional model of bringing data to compute to one in which memory is the center of the universe and we bring compute to the data instead. He also asserts that Moore’s Law is, contrary to reports, alive and kicking, and reflects on his long (and continuing) journey on the cutting edge of microprocessor and memory chipmaking.
