Labs' Ashkan Seyedi to deliver presentation at BICOP on photonics and AI
By Curt Hopkins, Managing Editor, Hewlett Packard Labs
Hewlett Packard Labs research scientist Ashkan Seyedi will be speaking at the British and Irish Conference on Optics and Photonics (BICOP) Conference, hosted by the UK and Ireland chapters of IEEE Photonics Society, on December 11-13.
Seyedi’s presentation, “HPE photonics can make AI faster and use lower power,” will address the company’s innovative use of silicon photonics to enable a cost-effective interconnect solution for HPC and enterprise servers.
“We’re also pursuing a horizontal business model where we don’t sell parts but rather we license IP for customers to design the hardware themselves,” says Seyedi. “It’s HPE silicon photonics as a service! Only pay for what you use and need.”
Seyedi’s address will take place at the Institution of Engineering and Technology on Savoy Place in London on Wednesday, December 11 at 11:40AM local time.
