This week I’ve been sharing some reasons why you should earn an HPE Certification and feedback from some of our Master ASEs on why they think HPE Certifications are valuable. If you are ready to start working on earning your first or fifteenth certification, getting started is easy.

Before you begin:

  1. If you are a new user, you must register with the HPE Certification and Learning program.

  2. Acquire access to The Learning Center and get an HPE Learner ID.
  3. Create a profile with Pearson VUE, our exam delivery vendor.

Step 1: Choose a certification

Select a certification based on your role, interests, and your Partner organizations specialization, if applicable. If you are in a sales role, you will want to obtain the latest sales cert: HPE Sales Certified – IT Business Conversations [2017].

If you are in a technical role, you can select from over 90 certifications. HPE offers one of the broadest portfolios of certifications, including Data Center, Cloud, IT Management, Networking, Servers, Storage, Sales, Transformation Areas and more.

Be sure to select the most current certification. As certifications are updated, it is possible that both an older and newer version of the same certification may be listed.

Step 2: Do you qualify for an upgrade path?

Check the upgrade paths to see if you have any certifications listed there. If so, you may qualify for an abbreviated path to your chosen certification.

Step 3: Register or apply for the certification

Register for the certification in The Learning Center. This adds the certification to your personal record.

Step 4: Verify or complete prerequisites

Prerequisites may include a lower level certification or a third party achievement.

Step 5: Complete recommended training (optional) and pass required exams

Training is highly recommended to pass each exam. Training is not required but helps you develop the skills you need to pass the exam.

Once you successfully complete the required exams, the certification is awarded to you. You are notified of your pass or fail status immediately after completing the exam. If you pass the exam, your transcript is updated in The Learning Center within seven (7) business days.

You receive an email notification two to five days after successfully completing all requirements. Your status in The Learning Center changes to "acquired."
