Women in Sales – A new way forward
My name is Lydia Neighbour, I'm 20 years old and I'm part of the Channel Sales apprentice program at Hewlett Packard Enterprise and I’m reaching out to all the young Ladies who are struggling in what path to take, if you, or someone you know, is looking for an opportunity to start their career at a company that supports and values your career development. HPE have a range of apprenticeship and early careers schemes.
Coming up to my 10th month at HPE as a channel sales apprentice at Hewlett-Packard Enterprise and what journey it’s been. Looking back at how much I’ve progressed as an individual and what I have accomplished, with such an amazing company who have supported me in achieving my new goals with a complete career change and now I’m on my way to start a successful career in Sales.
My whole life, I wanted to be a professional dancer. I studied and trained with this one dream in my mind.
After years of training, I was almost there. I was studying at Bird College in London, the top dance college in the United Kingdom.
After training for 6 months I began to realize that I hated the industry and what it stood for, it made me and the people around me perceive ourselves as valueless.
HPE has given me the chance to strive and improve as a young woman in sales and IT, when joining having no Technology background or interest, HPE invested me and now I feel I have value and am part of the team.
