Discover the benefits of HP Flash Media Devices

Server virtualization has evolved greatly over the past few years. By virtualizing their workloads, organizations of all sizes (from small businesses to enterprise businesses) can improve scalability, flexibility, and reach of their IT systems, all while also controlling their costs! To help customers with the virtualization evolution, Microsoft and HP have taken leading positions in the advancement of virtualization technology.

In this session of Coffee Coaching, Susan Riley, Product Marketing Manager for HP Flash Media Devices, tells you about a few of these advancements from HP and Microsoft.

Microsoft Hyper-V is the first example Susan Riley looks at. Hyper-V was first introduced as part of Windows Server 2008 (and has since been expanded and enhanced until the latest released version of Windows Server 2012 R2). It enables users to create and manage a virtualized computing environment by using virtualization technology that is built in to Windows Server. With this technology, your SMB customers can efficiently run multiple operating systems together on a single server.

Next, she looks at HP Flash Media, and one of HP’s latest innovations.

HP Flash media provides your customers with a high quality, reliable solution for OS boot or in virtualization environments where performance is of upmost importance. HP provides server high performance Flash Media kits and uses the highest industry flash technology, which provides a higher level of performance and longer endurance characteristics at an Enterprise level.

One of HP’s latest innovations in HP Flash Media Devices is the HP Dual 8GB microSD USB Kit, designed specifically as a redundant solution for virtualized environments on HP ProLiant Gen9 servers. This is a dual-SD card module that comes with two microSD storage cards, which will provide data redundancy through a mirrored RAID-1 configuration. This device will connect to an internal USB port and will be configured upon boot.
