Don’t put off Windows Server 2008 migrations... less than 5 months until End of Support!

Willa

Windows Server 2008 End of Support will be here before you know it… and organizations who have put off migrating to a new, supported version of Windows Server (such as Windows Server 2016 or Windows Server 2019) will soon be out of time! On January 14, 2020 (less than 5 months away!) support for Windows Server 2008 and 2008 R2 will end. This means the end of regular security updates, which means unprotected infrastructure.

There are two options for organizations still using Windows Server 2008: Migrate to Azure, or take advantage of a hybrid IT solution by moving to Windows Server 2016 or Windows Server 2019 and HPE ProLiant Gen10 Servers (and utilizing the cloud). Our earlier blog and video, “Should you replace Windows Server 2008 with Azure or Windows Server 2019?” looks at the pros and cons of each option.

To help organizations move from Windows Server 2008 to Windows Server 2016 or Windows Server 2019 on HPE ProLiant Gen 10 Servers, HPE has several incentives to help. To see promotions specific to your country visit: https://promotions.ext.hpe.com and select your country.
