Exciting Announcements (and Exciting Times) at HPE Discover 2016 Las Vegas

This week, more than 11,000 industry-leading IT executives, architects, engineers, partners, and thought leaders from around the world converged on Las Vegas for Hewlett Packard Enterprise's biggest event of the year, HPE Discover. With the thrilling Transformation Zone, exciting General Sessions on day 1 and day 2, and more than 1,000 breakout sessions, discussion forums, and demos to attend, there was a lot to see and do! Today we will take a quick look at a few highlights from HPE Discover 2016 Las Vegas. 

First, we can't talk about HPE Discover without showing a bit from the General Sessions.

We are also very excited about the announcements made at HPE Discover 2016 Las Vegas. Here are just a few that caught our attention this week:

  • HPE and Paramount Pictures partner to propel technology 250 years into the future in the feature film Star Trek Beyond. The upcoming film, with worldwide release set to begin July 20, will include several futuristic concept technologies created exclusively for the movie based on HPEโ€™s The Machine.

  • HPE announces OneView 3.0 to provide software defined-intelligence across HPEโ€™s family of infrastructure solutions , including HPE ProLiant, HPE BladeSystem, HPE 3PAR StoreServ, HPE Hyper Converged solutions, and HPE Synergy, the industry's first composable infrastructure.

  • HPE expands Helion cloud portfolio. HPE introduced many updates to its Helion cloud portfolio including: HPE Helion Cloud Suite, HPE Helion CloudSystem 10, HPE Helion Stackato 4.0, HPE Cloudline 3100 Server.

  • HPE delivers industry first converged system for IoT unveiling the Edgeline EL1000 and Edgeline EL4000, the industry's first converged systems for the Internet of Things (IoT). These systems integrate data capture, control, compute and storage to deliver heavy-duty analytics and insights at the edge to enable real-time decision making.

  • HPE and Docker partner to power distributed applications across hybrid infrastructure. Through a joint worldwide enterprise alliance agreement covering sales, go-to-market, engineering, support, services, and knowledge sharing, HPE and Docker are collaborating to help customers transform and modernize their datacenters to benefit from a more agile development environment.
