First day. Big day for HPE at Citrix Synergy
By Steven Fleischman
The first day of an event is always exciting as attendees explore the event floor looking for the latest and the best. The many attending Citrix Synergy didn’t have far to explore far or long to wait to find excitement as HPE made a very early – and important - announcement on extending our partnership with Citrix by collaborating on a HPE SimpliVity solution portfolio integration, including the new HPE SimpliVity 380 with Microsoft Hyper-V, into the Citrix HCI Workspace Appliance Program.
The HPE and Citrix solution is pre-integrated and pre-tested in the SimpliVity appliance, so customer don’t have to build their own solutions to deliver their virtualized applications and desktops. The appliance program makes it easy to deliver new workplace solutions and be managed seamlessly with Citrix over the lifecycle. This represents yet another example of how HPE and Citrix are working together to set the standard for customers to easily deploy digital workspaces with multi hypervisor, multi-cloud flexibility resulting in world-class digital collaboration and a borderless, productive workplace.
You can get more information by checking out the following:

The rest of the day definitely kept the excitement going. Here’s just a small sample of what went on:
- HPE took center stage – again early in the event – as Jeff Carlat and Phil Sailer shared their vision of the 20+-year HPE – Citrix alliance
- Olivier Frank wowed the crowd with HPE Edgeline Converged Edge Systems for Smart Product Engineering
- Ed Ellis provided an excellent overview about accelerating next generation end users at the HPE booth #310
- Jeff Carlat discussed the HPE – Citrix Alliance and GTM solutions, which are focused on delivering Workspace Solutions for Hybrid IT that bring the flexibility of cloud services to on-premises systems. HPE delivers secure, multi-tenant digital workspaces with shared resources that can be rapidly composed, decomposed, and recomposed to meet the demands of each user.
Throughout the day, traffic at the HPE booth was consistently strong with comments about our presence and solutions consistently positive.
Tomorrow delivers more excitement at the booth and at these two special events:
- The HPE Speaking Session will be held from 2:30 p.m. – 3:15p.m. in Room 207A of the Anaheim Convention Center. Attend to hear how your Citrix workspaces can be delivered in a simple, secure and accelerated manner that’s integrated with the hybrid cloud.
- The Customer Appreciation Reception is taking place from 7:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. at the RANCH Saloon, adding “play” to the “all work” of the conference.
We hope to see you at our booth and our events whenever you can and for as long as you can.
