HPE Discover: breaking records and growing partnerships

Last week, HPE Discover 2015 kicked off in a new city (London, England), at a new venue (ExCel London), with a new company (Hewlett Packard Enterprise), AND started with an exciting announcement: Discover 2015 had the largest registration in the history of the event! Thousands of IT leaders from around the world joined together to experience the true partnership of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where collaborative people, empowering technology, and transformative ideas push everyone forward.

HPE Discover Diamond Sponsor Microsoft had a strong presence at the event. Discover attendees who visited the Microsoft booth in the Transformation Zone had a chance to get hands on with a variety of HPE and Microsoftยฎ Windows 10ยฎ devices, explore the technical features of Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite and Windows 10, and watch demonstrations of Skype for Businessยฎ and previews of Office 365 2016ยฎ. The Microsoft participation didnโ€™t stop in the Transformation Zone, Discover participants also got to enjoy numerous Microsoft breakout sessions and theater presentations on topics such as cloud platform, data platform, and cloud productivity & mobility.

And, the icing on the cakeโ€ฆ during the HPE Discover Day 1 General Session, Satya Nadella, Microsoft CEO, joined Antonio Neri, Hewlett Packard Enterprise Senior Vice President and General Manager, live on stage via Skype to announce a new innovation in Hybrid Cloud computing through Microsoft Azure, HPE infrastructure and services, and new program offerings.

โ€œOur mission to empower every organization on the planet is a driving force behind our broad partnership with Hewlett Packard Enterprise that spans Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and Windows 10,โ€ said Satya Nadella, CEO Microsoft. โ€œWe are now extending our longstanding partnership by blending the power of Azure with HPEโ€™s leading infrastructure, support, and services to make the cloud more accessible to enterprises around the globe.โ€

So, what does this mean for you? Microsoft and HPE are deepening their long-standing partnership to support customers on their journey to hybrid cloud. HPE and Microsoftโ€™s investments span new integration between Microsoft Azure and HPE infrastructure, an industry-first hyper-converged hybrid cloud system, the opening of a new Azure Engineering Center, and plans to train 5,000 HPE Azure Cloud Architects.
