HPE and Aruba move to the head of the class in CRN Annual Report Card for 2018

I’m pretty sure I would have been happy just to have HPE score high in one area of the CRN 2018 Annual Report Card (ARC) awards program for North America. But I’ll take these results any time: 4677_HPE_CRN-Banners_Blog_v4_081918.jpg

  • We basically swept the entire “Enterprise Network Storage” category, winning the major category and all of the sub-categories. HPE provides dynamic, end-to-end solutions for all-flash storage and emerging NVMe storage, which require a modern storage network that can keep up with the pace of storage innovations. Our partners recognized the ability of the HPE StoreFabric and Smart SAN automation software for Hybrid IT and cloud-optimized storage to deliver reliability and high performance, while also reducing human error. More information.
  • HPE was also the overall winner in the Industry Standard Servers (ISS) category. We also scored impressive wins in the following sub-categories:
    • Product Innovation
    • Partnership
    • Managed & Cloud Services Winner

This was no surprise. HPE ProLiant Gen10 servers are the world’s most secure industry-standard servers, while our recently-introduced x86-based HPE Superdome Flex mission critical servers power critical applications, enable real-time analytics and tackle data-intensive high performance computing (HPC) workloads. Whatever you need, HPE has the right server for you. More information

  • We took two of the sub-categories in the Converged/Hyperconverged Infrastructure: Partnership and Managed & Cloud Services. The HPE SimpliVity portfolio provides an enterprise-grade hyperconverged platform that speeds application performance, improves efficiency and resiliency, and restores VMs in seconds. The fact that our services were winners in this category speaks to the comprehensive approach we take to our hyperconverged solutions, delivering everything it takes for you to select the right solution and then implement and manage them expertly. Our recent acquisitions of Cloud Technology Partners and RedPixie demonstrate our commitment to making our services offerings even stronger and more diverse in our efforts to bring customers the absolute best.

More winning news

The 2018 ARC results gave us even more cause for celebration. Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, also won in three categories. They swept two categories - Enterprise Networking Infrastructure and Enterprise Wireless LANs. And they scored an overall win in the SMB Networking category, winning in three of the four areas: Product Innovation, Support, and Partnership.

Aruba Mobile First Networks are optimized for today’s enterprise and SMB environments where mobile and IoT are pervasive. They reflect the fact that today’s wired and wireless network must deliver more than just connectivity. It is expected to provide actionable insights about the use of mobile and IoT to justify future investments, so that businesses can adopt new technologies and serve the needs of GenMobile—while keeping the network secure and without breaking the budget.

A special source of pride

In each of the three categories, HPE was singled out for its excellence in the “Partnership” area. This provides a special sense of accomplishment and serves as a definite source of pride to me personally as the head of the HPE North America Channel organization. It’s great to know that the partners who graded us on the Annual Report Card recognize the major steps we’ve taken towards our goal of becoming a channel/partner-centric organization. It also signals to our joint customers that HPE and its partners are a recognized source of excellence in technology solutions that can help them achieve their business goals.

Why the ARC is so important

m, w high 5.jpgThe CRN Annual Report Card summarizes the results of an in-depth, invitation-only survey by The Channel Company’s research team. For this year’s card, more than 3,000 solution providers in North America were asked to evaluate their satisfaction with more than 65 vendor partners in 24 major product categories. The vendors with the highest ratings are named to the Annual Report Card list of winners and celebrated as best-in-class by their partners. The results also provide the IT vendor community with valuable feedback—directly from their solution providers—that can be used to refine product offerings, enhance support offerings and improve communication with partners.
