How remote server management can be easier with HPE Integrated Lights-Out (iLO)
When reliability is essential for your system health, HPE Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) provides the automated intelligence to maintain complete server control from any place. HPE iLO functions out-of-the-box without additional software installation regardless of the serverโs state of operation giving you complete access to your server from any location via a web browser or the iLO Mobile App.
The key capabilities of HPE iLO are embedded in every ProLiant Gen8 and Gen9 server.
To give customers a more enriched management experience, HPE offers three different HPE iLO licenses: Essentials, Advanced, and Scale-Out.
HPE iLO Essentials
The HPE iLO Essentials license was designed specifically with small and midsized businesses (SMBs) in mind and provides them with more value for their investment. Some key features of the Essentials license include: virtual media, email alerting, health monitoring, and virtual console. Using Microsoftยฎ Windows Serverยฎ 2012 R2 Essentials and HPE iLO Essentials gives SMBs an affordable solution for growing businesses.
HPE iLO Scale-Out
The HPE iLO Scale Out license provides powerful scripting capabilities from Microsoft Windows operating systems which assist in managing and monitoring a large number of servers easily. From web hosting, cloud service providers, and high performance computing data centers, to managing massive scale out environments, the features within this license unlock and offer sophisticated scripting tools that provides access through Text Console via SSH, Management-at-Scale through server grouping with iLO Federation, Dynamic power capping, Email-based Alerting, and proactive notifications.
HPE iLO Advanced
The HPE iLO Advanced license enables the full implementation of iLO Federation for features such as Group Firmware Updates, Group Virtual Media, Group Power Control, Group Power Capping, and Group License Activation. You can also activate the enhanced Integrated remote console, virtual keyboard, video, and mouse (KVM), multi user console collaboration, advanced security, power management functionality, and many others.
