Nice scenery, but where the heck are we?

Ahhhh, the scenic route.  It sounds so appealing. A nice leisurely drive to … hmmmm … I wonder where that interesting-looking dirt road goes to? And look! A sign for fresh, homemade apple pies only 4 ½ miles this way. Wasn’t there some secondary Revolutionary War battle fought near here? That would definitely be a must-see.  

Destination?  We’ll get to it eventually once we figure out where it is.  

Doesn’t anyone have a GPS or a roadmap?
So we all know that the scenic route is great when you are in absolutely no hurry to get someplace.
