Only 60 days remain until Windows Server 2003 End of Service!

Migrating from Windows Server 2003 is not an option, it is a necessity. On July 14, 2015, Microsoft is discontinuing support of Windows Server 2003. In order for your SMB customers to have the most up to date and secure technology, those still using WS2003 need to take steps now to plan and execute a migration strategy to protect their infrastructure.

By migrating to Windows Server 2012 R2, your customers can achieve many benefits including improved performance, reduced maintenance requirements, and increased agility and speed of response to the business.

While this may seem like an overwhelming task, it can be easily be broken up into 4 simple steps: Discover, Assess, Target, and Migrate.

  • Discover what’s actually running on Windows Server 2003 in your datacenter.
  • Assess what apps are critical, complicated, deprecated, and risky.
  • Target where you’ll move, migrate, or reinvent those workloads.
  • Migrate workloads to their new destinations and enjoy the benefits!

When migrating, it is a great time to not only update the OS, but the critical server that runs the OS so your customers can start fresh with a brand new and reliable IT system. HP ProLiant Gen9 Servers help customers reduce cost and complexity, accelerate IT service delivery, and enable business growth. With new technology features and workload-optimized designs, the new server portfolio advances HP’s vision for compute, the future of the data center technology.

Pairing your new Microsoft OS with HP hardware makes sense as HP and Microsoft have developed the HP | Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Migration Program to help reduce complexity, time, and risk associated with migrating applications and infrastructure, while also addressing your overall IT modernization initiatives. This program provides a more comprehensive, end-to-end approach to migration that includes planning and strategy workshops, migration services, single provider support options, differentiated products and solutions, plus flexible financing options, training discounts, and skills training needs assessments—everything you need for a successful migration.
