Rock on with the HPE Reseller Option Kit (ROK) for Windows Server

Adding Windows Server Reseller Option Kit (ROK) licensing from HPE to every HPE ProLiant Server sale makes it easy for you to offer your clients a one-vendor solution and can give you peace of mind knowing the software is designed, tested, and prequalified specifically for HPE ProLiant servers.

Did you know that HPE Windows Server ROK licensing is the very same Windows Server operating system (OS) that could be purchased from Microsoft? However, through HPEโ€™s OEM agreement with Microsoft, HPE is able to customize and optimize HPE Windows Server ROK specifically for HPE Servers.

Every HPE ProLiant Gen10 server you sell will need a server operating system installed on it to run. If you are not adding HPE Windows Server ROK to your client's new servers, they are probably getting their Windows Server licenses from another vendorโ€ฆ Offer HPE Windows Server ROK with every HPE ProLiant Server sale to give your customers a complete server solution.

The benefits of pairing HPE ProLiant Gen10 servers with HPE Windows Server ROK donโ€™t stop there! For many customers, HPE ROK is the most affordable licensing option. In addition, the HPE ROK version of Windows Server comes with free 90 day installation support direct from HPE. If your clients have any start-up issues, they can go directly to HPE for support on their server and server OS.

When you are creating your clientsโ€™ ideal server solutions, ROK licensing allows you to deliver a solution that is entirely customized to their specific needs and is immediately ready for them to use. Not every organization is the same so not every server solution will be the sameโ€ฆ luckily there is a large family of HPE ProLiant Gen10 Servers and 3 different versions of Windows Server 2016 available (Essentials, Standard, and Datacenter) so you are sure to find the perfect pairing to match their IT requirements.

Once you've determined your clientsโ€™ HPE ProLiant Gen10 and HPE Windows Server ROK pairing, donโ€™t forget the Client Access Licenses (CALs)!! Every user or device who will access Windows Server requires a User CAL or Device CAL. Additionally, Remote Desktop Service (RDS) CALs may be required in addition to regular CALs for users that need to access programs or the full desktop remotely using Remote Desktop Services. So, donโ€™t forget to ask your customers about their CAL needs to ensure their server solution is CAL compliant!
