The power of partnering on display for you at SAP TechEd
By Hartmut Braun
Over the years, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has built powerful alliance partnerships with a wide range of industry leading technology companies. For example, our alliance partnership with SAP has been going strong for 28 years. Each of these allows us to provide you with solutions that deliver superior results, since they are made up of components that have been tested and proven to work optimally together.
Usually, I think of these partnerships as two-way relationships โ HPE and the partner. But increasingly, we are creating three-way partnerships that add another important component to the overall solutions. We will have four of these three-ways on display at SAP TechEd and will offer a session focused on each one: Intel, Red Hat, SUSE, and VMware. I invite you to check these sessions out. Youโll clearly see how the power of partnering โฆ and the benefits you receive โฆ are magnified and multiplied when a third member is added.
Excellence to the power of three
Here are the details of the sessions that will show you what three market leaders can do when they work together to build top-performing SAP solutions. NOTE: all sessions will be presented in the Theater area of HPE Booth #300.
Intel: โThe Future Doesnโt Care About Legacy Platforms โ SAP & Intel Are Building the Future.โ
Take a look at the very real benefits of running SAP on servers like HPEโs Gen10, powered by Intel processors. The session will show how Gen10 makes it easy for you to:
โข Equip developers with tools that empower them to build next-generation applications
โข Ensure that business decision makers can take advantage of the latest real-time, in-memory analytical intelligence to uncover deeper insights
โข Simplify your IT infrastructure, so technical staff can focus more on innovating and on harnessing new technologies and less on maintaining existing operations
These capabilities can help your IT organization build breakthrough applications and analytics to transform your business for the digital economy. Note that this session will also provide outlook to Apache Path NVMe and Cascade Lake. Presented on Tuesday, September 26 at 3:00 p.m. and Wednesday, September 27 at 1:00 p.m. More information on the HPE/SAP/Intel alliance.
Red Hat: โRed Hat Solutions for SAP HANA on HPE platformโ
Learn about the Red Hat solutions portfolio for SAP HANA on the HPE platform and the benefits you get for your HANA deployment. This session covers:
โข Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) for SAP HANA, S/4 HANA, and Business Apps workloads
โข High Availability solutions for SAP HANA, S/4HANA, and SAP Business Apps
โข Smart Management for lifecycle management
โข Red Hat Insights for proactive optimization
โข Update Services for SAP Solutions
Red Hat Enterprise Linux is trusted to power more than a million servers, successfully deployed in mission-critical and highly secure environments across multiple industries such as financial services, telco, retail, government and defense, oil and gas, and health care and therefore the ideal platform to run SAP. Presented on Tuesday, September 26 at 1:30 p.m. and Wednesday, September 27 at 5:00 p.m. More information on the Red Hat alliance.
SUSE: โSUSE & HPE: Latest SUSE innovations for SAP HANA on HPE platform
Security breaches? Downtime? Hah! Thatโs the last thing you need. So probably the first choice for your SAP environment should be SUSE and its Live Kernel Patching. This session focuses on the latest SUSE innovations, e.g. Live Kernel patching with the HPE Converged Systems for SAP HANA, and the many benefits this combination can deliver for your SAP landscape that might include any combination of SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA or the new S/4HANA systems. Itโs the perfect way to run simple, run fast, and run smart. Presented on Tuesday, September 26 at 2:30 p.m. and Wednesday, September 27 at 11:00 p.m. More information on the SUSE alliance.
VMware: โVirtualize your SAP data center with VMware and HPEโ
Learn how industry leaders for virtualization and hybrid IT can help you rapidly deploy SAP HANA and achieve faster time to value. You can deploy most SAP applications and SAP HANA solutions with vSphere 6.0 and 6.5 now up to 4 TB of system RAM, with 6 TB in validation. This delivers:
โข Standardization of server platform, deployments and operation
โข Better hardware utilization and less idle resources
โข Faster deployments in minutes, reduction in the total cost of delivery by 85%
โข Lower TCO, e.g. reduced capex by 67%, power requirements by 96% and SAP HANA rack space requirements have fallen by 45%
Presented on Tuesday, September 26 at 12:00 p.m. and Wednesday, September 27 at 12:30 p.m. More information on the VMware alliance.
More power to you
