Re: Looking for Alphaserver 2100 ECU 1.8a diskette
I may not have a version 1.8, but I may have somethng newer
(1.11A, 1-OCT-1997?). Zip-compressed: diskette image (MOUNT /FOREIGN +
COPY), diskette BACKUP /PHYSICAL, and loose files, respectively:
http://antinode.info/ftp/misc/ecu.img-zip
http://antinode.info/ftp/misc/ecu_1r11a.bup-zip
http://antinode.info/ftp/misc/ecu_1r11a_unix_vms.zip
Wake me if any of that looks useful, but you can't figure out how to
make a floppy from any of them. (The first one should be useful on a
non-VMS system which has something like mtools or rawwrite.)

It was supposed to be nearly obvious from the parentheticals in:
> [...] Zip-compressed: diskette image (MOUNT /FOREIGN +

".img" is a simple image, suitable for COPY to a diskette mounted
/FOREIGN (or for some simple, non-VMS diskette image restoration
scheme). ".bup" is a BACKUP /PHYSICAL save set. The last kit has the
files as files, so you can do what you want with them (other than put
them onto a floppy).
