SA1100 Bootup Problem
Good Day! How can i fix the SA1100 start up problem. It stops after VFS:MOUNTED ROOT(ext2 FILESYSTEM) Freeing Unused Kernel memory:48K Freed

I had this same problem a while ago, unfortunately it was a bad memory chip. Try swapping out the memory. If the unit is still under warranty then you should call HP support and have them replace the unit.

To access the emergency partition, do the following:
1. Shut down the server appliance and connect a computer to it through the serial port located on the back of the box.
2. Turn on the server appliance.
3. When the prompt reads "LILO boot," type "emergency" to load the emergency partition.
4. Log in as the root user or a server admin user.
here you can run chkfsk on each partitions
