When using the VMware plugin to create a volume, I end up with the datastore named correctly, but the volume name has four zeroes appended to it.
e.g. Datastore = Datastore, but Volume = Datastore0000
I prefer to have everything align in name, is this not possible?

Re: How to Prevent the VMware Plugin from Appending Zeroes to Volume Names?
Hi Steve,
What version of ESX are you using and which Nimble OS are you running too?
Thanks,
Ezat

SolutionHey Steve,
I assume your using the new plugin in RC 2.1.4 - it will append for 0000's to the volume name to ensure we always have a unique volume name (if you created a volume with the same name).
For people who haven't seen this yet - expect to see a 2.1 introduction blog series which will introduce these new features
Cheers
Rich

Yes, that is correct. Thank you for the clarification, I will tell my OCD to take a chill pill and deal with it.

Re: How to Prevent the VMware Plugin from Appending Zeroes to Volume Names?
Hi Steve,
The behavior has changed as of 2.1.7. A 4 digit number will only be appended to the volume name if there is a conflict.
Thanks,
-Eric
