Nimble virtual ethernet switch for iSCSI Windows hyper-v 2012

So I inherited a hyper-v setup with a newly installed Nimble on it. I'm new to SAN storage and still learning but reading the manual it suggests that I split out the SQL VM's DB VHDX to it's own Volume Collection and connect it directly to the VM through a virtual switch.

So the question is for the virtual switch can it use the same iSCSI initiator that the host is using without causing any issues on it? Sorry very new to this and still trying to read through everything. any help would be appreciated.

Definately you can.

In performance prospective, it doesn't add addtional loading as consider comparing to all data goes VHDX, all iSCSI traffic goes over the same virtual switch anyways....

The recommendation for using in-guest iSCSI connectivity over those dataset is customer can enjoy graunlar tunning and data prortection capability which array were provided.
