99.9999% Availability Guaranteed on HPE Nimble Storage and 3PAR!
For far too long, enterprises have bought into high availability claims from other storage vendors, only to face unexpected disruptions down the road, and with little or no recourse. I understand why vendors need to market their products as being reliable, but for todayโs business-critical applications, simply claiming โdesigned for 6-9sโ (as most do) is not enough nor acceptable anymore. As we all know, โdesigned forโ and โwhat really happens in realityโ are far from the same. As your customers donโt accept downtime, you shouldnโt either.
So thatโs why weโre making it simple to give you the assurance you need for your data and your storage. We have achieved proven reliability of our platforms, and now weโre putting our money where our mouth is. Announcing today, HPE now guarantees 6-Nines availability across the HPE Nimble Storage and 3PAR platforms. Together, HPE has the only enterprise flash array portfolio with 6-9s of guaranteed availability.*
If you experience less than 99.9999% availabilityโwhile following the simple terms of the HPE Nimble Storage and 3PAR programsโHPE will work with you to resolve the issue and provide additional month(s) of support at no cost.
So, letโs go through the two programs.
New HPE Nimble Storage 6-Nines Guarantee
HPE Nimble Storage has achieved measured availability of greater than 99.9999% across its installed base, including even the first array that ever shipped. And the secret sauce behind this has been HPE InfoSight and its ability to predict and prevent problems before your business is impacted.
We believe 6-Nines should be a standard benefit. Thatโs why weโre guaranteeing it for every HPE Nimble Storage customer across the board. This guarantee is automatic on new arrays and on existing arrays when support is renewed. It costs nothing and requires you to do nothing different. Itโs part of Timeless Storage, our commitment to always take care of our customers. This guarantee is:
- Applicable on all models and configurations
- Automatic on new arrays and on existing arrays when support is renewed
- Guaranteed for as long as the product is supported
Itโs really that simple. And, hereโs what enterprises say about the availability of HPE Nimble Storage.
โWeโve had Nimble for over 2 years, with many petabytes of capacity, and we are at 100% availability.โ โ Justin Giardina, CTO, iLand Internet Solutions
โGuaranteeing 6-9s gives us the assurance we need to make Nimble Storage a cornerstone of our service platform.โ โ William Bell, VP of Products, phoenixNAP
Updates to the 3PAR 6-Nines Guarantee
3PAR has guaranteed 6-Nines availability for more than three years now. And this speaks to the resiliency and proven reliability of its architecture. With todayโs announcement, weโve made the 3PAR program simpler by allowing any size configuration to qualify for the guarantee. For more details of the program, please contact your HPE sales rep.
Never worry about storage infrastructure again
So, to wrap things up: Itโs time to say goodbye to the anxiety and disruption of unexpected downtime. While others in the industry might design for 6-9s in a lab, HPE has proven it in the field and is now guaranteeing it across both HPE Nimble Storage and 3PAR. Look to HPE if you want uninterrupted access to data and to never worry again about your storage infrastructure.
* Based on HPE analysis of public information for portfolios spanning IDC mid-range and high-end price bands.
