Unified manageability with HP OneView for Microsoft System Center

Troubled with too many disparate management tools to keep a watch on your MicrosoftPainKiller.jpeg System Center deployments? Is monitoring the relevant pieces of your infrastructure becoming more complex with multiple hand-offs between server, storage and networking teams when you would rather focus on the increasing demands of your business?

We understand your headaches—and we have a solution to make it easier to manage your Microsoft environment so that you can focus more on business-related tasks at hand.

HP OneView is a converged management platform that unifies management of servers, storage, and network and breaks down the walls between infrastructure silos.

We now provide comprehensive integration for Microsoft environments via HP OneView for Microsoft System Center (OV4SC) to simplify manageability with a single infrastructure management platform through Microsoft System Center. With this single-pane-of-glass view, you can monitor system health as well as get detailed inventory status and HP fabric visualization. As an administrator, you can now gain greater control of your technology environment without detailed knowledge of the underlying hardware leading to a faster response to infrastructure problems.

Enjoy the view

You get a composite alerts/events and topology view for health status of HP Server and Storage being managed under HP OneView and also provision, update and scale resource from System Center. With an easy to click UI, you can monitor all the physical and virtual infrastructure (Pools, Volumes, VMs) components in a single view without leaving System Center with a graphical view of VM and volume mapping. This has been provided by diligently interlocking the capabilities of standalone Management Packs for HP 3PAR Storage and HP Blade Enclosure/Virtual Connect to create an HP OneView Management Pack for System Center Operations Manager (SCOM).

A single folder structure is provided for HP OneView with all the events and alerts logically collected in respective folders. No more toggling between multiple screens and views to monitor HP infrastructure physical and virtual components. That leaves you free to focus more on helping your business grow.

You can continue monitoring standalone HP storage arrays using the HP Storage Management Pack for SCOM (v4.2) and HP Storage UI Add-in for SCVMM (v2.2). To keep it simple, we have included them within OV4SC to provide you with a single repository of Microsoft System Center related products.

And know that we remain committed to increasing the value we bring to you, our customers. We’ll be building more integrated workflows within HP OneView for System Center. Stay tuned!
