HPE customers bring energy and enthusiasm to the first ever HE Discover Virtual Event. Hyperconverged expert Jodie Jordanger recaps HPE SimpliVity sessions, demos, and labs and offers a glimpse of what’s coming in July.

Wow! The first week of Discover Virtual completely surpassed my expectations. I wasn’t sure what to expect as we’ve never had a virtual Discover event before. But I’ve got to say, our HPE SimpliVity team really ‘brought it,’ and our customers responded in kind. In this unusual time of virtual everything, I couldn’t believe how much energy and enthusiasm you all brought to the event! It was so good to see you out there and feel the love you have for SimpliVity and HPE. It almost felt like we were in Vegas (ok, that’s going too far – but hey, it was a really good week!).

Intelligent HCI for Every Workload – It’s the New Standard

In this session, HPE SimpliVity Chief Evangelist Thomas Goepel shared details about customers who have transformed their technology with HPE SimpliVity to drive incredible business outcomes. Migros Supermarket, who was initially running 300 virtual desktops, needed to spin up 700 more to give employees the flexibility to work from home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Using HPE SimpliVity, they were able to do so in just 12 minutes. HPE SimpliVity handled these additions, while still managing the 12,000 concurrent stations running Virtual Apps in their warehouses, stores and offices.

HPE SimpliVity Simplifies and Transforms, Edge-to-Cloud

For the technically inclined, our on-demand demo entitled ‘Experience How HPE SimpliVity HCI Can Simplify and Transform Edge-to-Cloud’ D138 was clearly right on target. That session and live demos were jam-packed! No doubt the subject matter had something to do with it. Experts Matt Haron and Ron Dharma dove into HPE InfoSight and predictive support in SimpliVity environments, VM data efficiency and protection from edge to core to cloud, automated multi-site data recovery, and how key use cases can simplify and transform IT environments with intelligent HCI.
