Re: HPE Storage Point of View
I've been around IT and data centers for a long time - 34 years - but I have never seen things change as rapidly as they seem to be changing now. As a storage vendor, I think it's critical that you understand what we are focused on and our strategy. Here at HPE Storage, we call it out "Point of View" or POV. The POV drives investments we make and those investments drive innovation.
I have a new ChalkTalk that focuses on our POV and the three things you'll hear about are:
- Predictive
- Cloud Ready
- Timeless
I'll let the ChalkTalk do the talking - it's not very long so definitely check it out.
Get more
The ChalkTalk is just four minutes so I obviously don't go into a lot of detail but I wanted to give you a few things to look at that fill in some of the blanks:
- Check out the recent blog article I have that includes a ChalkTalk that shows the positioning of the HPE Flash Portfolio. Flash continues to be a hot topic and is core to what we're doing.
- What we're doing around Predictive is really focused on HPE InfoSight. You can read all of the related blogs on ATSB as well as check out the recent ChalkTalk I did about the latest updates to InfoSight that include AI and 3PAR support.
- When I talked about Cloud Ready in the ChalkTalk, I mentioned HPE Cloud Bank Storage and HPE Cloud Volumes. You can check out all of our Cloud Bank related blogs and check out the latest Cloud Bank ChalkTalk.
- I'll give HPE Cloud Volumes its own shout out. This was formerly called Nimble Cloud Volumes. We do have a couple of blog posts and I'm going to make doing a ChalkTalk about it a high-priority. You can see the two posts on ATSB - one is from Julian Cates the technical marketing manager and the other has videos from "Cloud Field Day" that includes an overview and a demo that product manager Doug Ko did.
- Timeless is focusing on getting past marketing buzz words with things like guarantees. We recently announced the HPE Nimble Storage and 3PAR 6-nines guarantee that you can check out. There's also the StoreOnce Get Protected Guarantee that I didn't mention in the ChalkTalk but you can check out the blog post.
So what do you think? We'll have more to say in the future but would love to hear what you think.
