How HPE MSA 2052 SAN storage and HPE ProLiant DL560 servers support your SAP HANA environment
In the IT world of SAP HANA and SAP enterprise business applications, you might not expect to see HPE MSA 2052 SAN storage arrays and HPE ProLiant DL560 servers at work. Here's proof that they are two very powerful TDI-certified systems to support your SAP HANA environment.
The SAP HANA Tailored Datacenter Integration (TDI) certification process was established to help you select equipment components that work together in a supportable, customizable SAP production environment. Although TDI-certified equipment is highly encouraged, SAP HANA does not require TDI-certified equipment for development, test, and other implementations. However, HPE understands how important your business is and believes any solution we recommend should meet and exceed those SAP HANA TDI standards independent of its usage. To HPE, your business is always in production.
This newly published document, outlines how to use SAP HANA TDI-certified HPE MSA 2052 SAN storage systems and HPE ProLiant DL560 Gen10 servers to implement a production SAP HANA environment.
The architecture outlines an introductory configuration which can be used as a proof of concept while showing how a combination of these two systems can create a composable data center configuration that supports twelve, 6TB SAP HANA systems.
Who should read this reference architecture?
The reference architecture is targeted to SAP solutions architects and IT engineers wanting to know the key elements of implementing a SAP HANA TDI certified infrastructure. It outlines the networking, storage fabric and protection practices needed to support the SAP HANA environment by showing you how they are implemented using the HPE MSA 2052 SAN Storage and HPE ProLiant DL560 systems.
HPE and SAP have a 28-year partnership working together to deliver the best business solutions for our customers. Although this reference architecture demonstrates how to configure SAP HANA on entry-level enterprise systems, we are confident our full line of TDI-certified servers and storage systems, including the HPE Superdome Flex and the HPE 3PAR StoreServ flash storage system, will meet your most demanding SAP business application needs.
Be sure and check out the reference architecture: HPE Reference Architecture for SAP HANA TDI using HPE MSA 2052 SAN Storage and HPE ProLiant DL560
