"IO unaligned by offset is detected" - False Positive?

Nimble sent me an alert (case # 03070226) referencing "IO unaligned by offset". It refers me to this URL for troubleshooting:

https://infosight.nimblestorage.com/InfoSight/dispatch?token=eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJ0b2tlbi10eXBlIjoiZG9jdW1lbnRhdGlvbi5rYkFydGljbGUucmVhZCIsImV4cCI6MTU2NDkxMjY2OCwic3ViIjoiQUMtMTAwMjg4IiwiaWF0IjoxNTY0MzA3ODY4LCJrYi1pZCI6IjAwMDMyOCIsImF1ZCI6IlBvcnRhbCIsImlzcyI6IlBhY2hpbmtvIn0.vVHdeDUDQ8opCU195XLwavzbpKOPRnffqZe_LHXyFf0

The results of running "wmic partition get BlockSize, StartingOffset, Name, Index" on the Hyper-V host for the disk in question is:

512 0 Disk #6, Partition #0 135266304

So ... 135266304/4096 = 33,024 ... which has no remainders.

Is this a false positive? The VM using that disk is Windows 2003 if that matters.

Windows 2003 is, unfortunately, misaligned unless you align it using DISKPART.

Give Nimble Support a call, they can help you resolve this.
