HP P822 - Unable to extend array

I have a RAID 6 (ADG) array containing 9x 5TB drives that I wanted to expand by adding another 6

I attempted to expand the array with all 6 but it continued to fail with no useful output. my next troubleshooting step was to try with only 3 and that seemed to work

When the array finished expanding it then did a Parity Check which took a few days

Now that the parity check appears to be complete I can't extend the array with the other 3 drives. There isn't even an option to extend the array

I can't even figure out what the next troubleshooting step would be
