10Gbps to link server to switches
Hi
In a DL380p gen8 we would like to add a 10 gbps adaptor like HP Ethernet 10Gb 2-port 560SFP+ to have connectivity to procurve (HP2920 - J9726A) and comware 5 (HP 5500-48G-PoE+-4SFP HI) switches.
We are stuck in the choice for SFP+ devices and DAC cables.
Can someone help us to choose the good devices

Re: 10Gbps to link server to switches
The official way is to have the appropriately branded optic in each device, and link them with fibre.
DACs are cheaper, but may have issues, especially with longer ones. Some devices lock out transceivers that are not coded to the vendor; many can bypass this (like AOSS and Comware), but there is still no guarantee it will work.
I have always used ProCurve (now AOSS) DACs between ProCurve/AOSS and Comware - that is the best option if you want to go that way.
