15.07.0008 possible quirk?
I have been running 15.04.0003 on 24 or more 5400 series chassis for some time now and no real issue to speak of. I noticed that 15.07.0008 had been posted and with school out for summer, decided to do some firmware updates on my switches. After getting 90% done with the updates, I noticed something a little "quirky". My locations are connected via MetroE fiber into some of these 5400 chassis and I have always had a ping response time of 1ms average. Now, with the new firmware, my response times are averaging more like 3-4ms. I know that's no big deal right now, but I'm doing these tests at night with no traffic to speak of. When school starts back and I put a load back on these circuits.... I am just hoping the issue is not exponential as opposed to just a few milliseconds added.
Has anyone seen any issue like this with this release?

Re: 15.07.0008 possible quirk?
I'm also running on K15.07.008 and I didn't see any increase in ping response time.

Re: 15.07.0008 possible quirk?
Very strange...I can replicate this all day long. As long as the switch is 15.04.0003 (which is what all of my switches were on), my ping to it is 1ms average, but as soon as I swap it to 15.07.0008, my ping replies back at 3ms average.

Re: 15.07.0008 possible quirk?
When you upgraded to the latest software, did you do so on your entire environment? Or do you have K.15.07.xxxx installed on one switch? I have seen weird quirks with K-code switches that are not running the same software versions.

Re: 15.07.0008 possible quirk?
As mentioned on initial post, I got to about 90% done updating my switches to the 15.07.0008 before I noticed the increased ping response. I went ahead with finishing all of the switches to that rev and let it settle for a bit in case any route advertisements were taking place and still no change. I regressed one switch back to previous rev and rebooted. Waited for things to settle and ping response to that switch went back to 1ms response. Changed back to newer rev and ping response went back up to 3ms average. I have left everything at the 15.07.008 rev for now and will check out the new 15.09 that's supposed to release sometime soon and see what that does for me.
