2610-48 PoE will not power up a Cisco 1231 AP
Recently added a J9089A and moved the patch cable for a Cisco 1231 LAP to the 2610...AP would not power up. When patched back to the 2910, worked perfectly (same patch, interconnect,...). The AP is only single radio and should only draw 6W. I plugged an IP phone into the 2610 and it powers up and works fine. There are no other devices powered up on the 2610 since it is a new area of the building. The AP is the only device that is pulling power from from the switch. Updated firmware to the latest, still no luck.

Re: 2610-48 PoE will not power up a Cisco 1231 AP
Received an answer back from my reseller that the 48 port does not support the Cisco pre-standard PoE requirement. Of course I asked why the 24 port 2610 did...no response.
