2620 stacking with 2510G and 2610
Hello - wondering if anyone can help with the issue below - been tearing my hear out a bit!
I have a stack of switches (2610-24-PoE) with a central switch
2510G-24 (J9279A) as the stack controller.
I recently had to extend our network, and found the 2610-24-PoE
has been discontinued, so I purchased it's recommended
replacement, the 2620-24-PoE. I then made sure the firmware on
all the switches was up to date, and added the new switch to the
stack.
I was able to add the new switch ok, but whenever I try to manage
it through the stack master, I get all sorts of errors. Mainly
“page cannot be found” when I try to access it's admin, but I
also get a whole website redirect to 0.0.0.0.
The issue seems to be that the 2610 uses Java but the 2620 does
not. How is this best fixed? Do I need to replace the 2510G core
switch (could you recommend a replacement), or is there a simpler
solution.
Thanks!
