2910al and Equallogic

2910al and Equallogic

I currently have E2910al switches, but now I need a switch for an Equallogic array. Is the 2910 still a good choice for Equallogic, or should I go with something else instead?

Re: 2910al and Equallogic

I don't have Equallogic, but I do have some P4000 SAN nodes and use the 2910al switches with no issue. The only issue you will run into is if you are connecting SAN nodes and servers at 10Gb, then that switch probably won't have enough 10Gb ports available on it for both SAN nodes and servers.

Re: 2910al and Equallogic

Hi,

2910 is the first switch to start with though I would choose for the E3500 or high series since they support distributed LACP trunking...
