2930F LRM Transceiver Support Query
I know that the 2930F does not officially support the J9152 series LRM trancseivers.
My query is does anyone have any experience trying this combination, or using a 3rd party LRM optic with a 2930F?
Regards,
Pete

Re: 2930F LRM Transceiver Support Query
Well, not direct experience...but trying 3rd Party SFP/SFP+ Transceivers (by allowing unsupported ones, a thing it is permitted on latest ArubaOS-Switch software releases) will push you on a terra-incognita: a specific 3rd Party Transceiver could or could not work...there is no warranty it shall work (also there is no warranty that it will not damage itself or the slot where it is inserted, or the whole Switch backplane) exactly because it is unsupported and not certified to work with your specific model of Aruba Switch.
Also...forget about setting up VSF using 3rd Party SFP/SFP+ Transceivers or DAC Cables...if they work with hosts or with other Switches (uplinks/downlinks) then they are not supported - even if allowed - on VSF Link(s).
