5406Rzl2 LACP periodic slow/fast
Hello,
on my 5406Rzl2 I have configurated a trunk LACP with two Interfaces.
To this trunk is another switch connected with also a trunk LACP. The second Switch is a non HP switch. By this switch it is possible to configurate LACP periodic fast as a static value.
The HP switch set this value automatic.
Now my problem, if one connection of the two data lines is lost first the hp switch is change periodic from fast to slow. 30 seconds later it change the status to not avaible. Therfore a smooth change from the datas to the avaible data line is not possible.
My question is, can I configurate the lacp periodic to fast static? So by a connection lost it change directly to not avaible and only the second data line is used?
Best regards,
Marian Wieneke

Re: 5406Rzl2 LACP periodic slow/fast
Can you share outputs of below commands (executed on HP 5406R zl2 switch):
- show trunks
- show lacp
- show lacp local
- show lacp peer
- show lacp counters

Re: 5406Rzl2 LACP periodic slow/fast
There is nothing particularly strange on HP 5406R zl2 side looking at the outputs of suggested commands: both peers are set to use LACP and be Active (so both ends can transmit LACPDU and they do it using Fast mode, so every 1 seconds) and, even if you commented the LACP Marker PDUs Transmitted/Received (Tx/Rx) <-- those values are not "private information", I suspect you have some non-zero values on PDUs Tx/Rx columns (see show lacp counters output) for C1 and D1 interfaces...those values mean that both ends (HP switch and non-HP switch) are exchanging PDUs as it normally should.

Re: 5406Rzl2 LACP periodic slow/fast
in the event that one association of the two information lines is lost first the hp switch is change occasional from quick to moderate. after 30 seconds it change the status to not avaible. Therfore a smooth change from the pieces of information to the avaible information line isn't conceivable.
