5412 Switch Cycling PD Detected/Applyinf Power to PD/PD Removed
5412 Switch Cycling : PD Detected / Applying Power to PD / PD Removed - no matter what laptop (several different Dell models as seen in attached text from log.
I 09/21/11 13:18:36 00560 ports: port E5 PD Detected.
I 09/21/11 13:18:36 00561 ports: port E5 Applying Power to PD.
I 09/21/11 13:19:28 00565 ports: port E5 PD Removed.
I 09/21/11 13:20:24 00560 ports: port E5 PD Detected.
I 09/21/11 13:20:24 00561 ports: port E5 Applying Power to PD.
I 09/21/11 13:20:36 00565 ports: port E5 PD Removed.
Is the port bad? A couple ports on the "E" card are doing this but other E ports are working. Running K.!3.60 FW.

To avoid this, disable PoE on the clients ports that don't support 802.3a. You wouldn't be having those entries at all.
