Re: Aruba 2930f Switch with multiple VSF domain

Two Aruba 2930F switches deployed as a VSF doesn't need VRRP (VSF overcomes the need of VRRP) -> the VSF is a single logical entity so IP routing is performed by the VSF Commander, when (and if) the Commander goes down the VSF Standby takes over the role (this is the resilent part). This is well described here.

Two Aruba 2930F switches deployed as standalone ones: no VSF...so VRRP should be setup as per instruction found on the Aruba 2930F/2930M Multicast and Routing Guide for ArubaOS-Switch 16.10 guide at Chapter 11 "Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol VRRP".

Re: Aruba 2930f Switch with multiple VSF domain

Thanks for the Valuable  Reply.

The customer got 2 2930F swithes and 4 HP 1950 switches. He got 2 Fortinet firewall in HA mode .on top of FWs one L2 switch where 2 ISP connections terminated..

I am going to configure 2 2930F swith in VRRP  and from each 2930F switch port channel will be configured to respective Firewall.

please confirm this is right topology and no need of cross connect cables from switches to firewall.

And also please confirm stacking is possible here and advisable.
