Cisco ASA + Procurve 2530 VLan Troubleshooting

Hello,

I have a Cisco 5510 8.2(3) with a 2530 Procurve switch.

The switch is configured w/the following:

-Native VLAN set at 192.168.1.0/24

-Data VLAN 192.168.2.0 (VLAN 200)

-Voice VLAN 192.168.3.0 (VLAN300).

-All ports are tagged.

-QOS w/IP Precedence set on VOICE VLAN

Cisco Configuration:

- eth0/1, shutdown w/no ip address

- eth0/1.200, line is up, vlan 200 set

- eth0/1.300, i havent set this up yet.

I know my configuration for the Cisco device is good.

I cannot get a ping from the router to the switch (which is at 192.168.2.2).

Am I missing anything?

Your physical interface has to be up in order for your subinterfaces to pass traffic.

(Don't put a nameif on it if you don't want untagged traffic to pass).

Also, check your security level on each sub-interface.

Agreed.

Based on your info, you should at least do a no shut on the eth0/1 physical interface.

If that doesn't resolve things, please post the relevant parts of the actual config of both devices.
