Configuring port of 2610 & 29xx to support Mac-Auth & Dot1x
Hi,
i have a security deployment and policy that needs each IP Telephony Handset be authenticated by mac and any machine behind should authenticate as 802.1x, that's mean any switch port should enable both mac-auth and 802.1x auth on the same port.
as i worked with the following models and version:
HP 2610 PN: J9089A
HP 2910 PN : J9146A
HP 2920 PN J9729A
R.11.107
there is huge challenges to fulfill that, either IP telephone auth and machine doesn't or vice versa. i have downloaded the security access guide for that purpose but it neither show the sequence or order of authentications types, nor best practise commands to securely access machine behind VoIP Handset on same port.
