Differences between a stack of 2x Alcatel OS6250-24 and a Procurve 2620-48

Hello,

I'm doing a comparison between these two models of switches:

 - A stack with 2 Alcatel OmniSwitch 6250-24

 - A standalone HP Procurve 2620-48

Looking at the main differences and their specifications, What are the characteristics on which stands the two models?

Thankyou.

Regards.

The Alcatel stack gives you 2 extra Gb ports.

The HP switch gives you a bit more PoE power budget.

I'm not clear on whether the Alcatel gives you any Layer3 functionality.

The Procurve comes with a lifetime warranty.

Procurve switches are coded to reject non-Procurve transceivers (can be beaten, though), I don't think Alcatel switches do this.

Alcatel switches have a limited lifetime warranty, too. So they don't seem to have big differences...

Thanks for your answer.
