E5412 Rack Mounting
Hi All,
Does anyone know if the standard rack mount kits that ship with a HP E5412 will support a fully loaded chassis - 12 x Ethernet modules and 4 PSUs? Is a rail kit available to provide additonal support?
Thanks,

Re: E5412 Rack Mounting
I can't speak for the 5412, but i wouldn't hesitate to fully-load a 5406 with the factory rails. They are pretty solid and have good attachments. I would hope that the 5412 wouldn't be any different.

Re: E5412 Rack Mounting
Hello,
If the rack mount kit couldn't hold a fully-loaded 5412zl, it wouldn't be available for it. As for rails, those are usually for deploying the switch in a cabinet instead.

Re: E5412 Rack Mounting
We have some of them operational for a few years now, at different customers sites. Some of them are almost filled with eth-modules, all of them have 4 PSUs. And we have always used those standard issued rackmount 'ears'. No issues so far.
