Firmware update for JL262A

Hi Guys,

I'm in process of upgrading the firmware for Aruba switch model JL262A / 2930F-48G POE

I'm bit confused with the release version 16.09.0015 vs 16.10.0012 and their release dates.

For example version 16.10.0012 is released in Jan vs 16.09.0015 is release in March.

Which is the latest firmware I should download?

Hello,

Both are seperate branch of codes.  16.10 branch latest code released in Jan 2021 where as 16.09 brance latest code released in Mar 2021.

Below is the current switch firmware.

Primary SoftwareWC.16.07.0003 (Booted)

Secondary SoftwareWC.16.07.0003

ROMWC.16.01.0005

Quick question here... does the ROM has to have the same firmware as primary and secondary software?

16.10 or 16.09 or 16.08 are the branches of a software and it includes all enhancement and fixes of previous branch base versions.
Suppose 16.10.0001 was the first release of branch 16.10 but this branch covers all enhancement and fixes of 16.09.0001
Your device is running on software WC.16.07.0003 and BootRom WC.16.01.0005.
You are good to upgrade to WC.16.10.0012.
Please refer chapter 3 from below release notes and refer Upgrading Restrictions and Guidelines on pg.63.

No, ROM and software versions are different and it cannot be same.
