On the new substituted unit I can access the GUI via ethernet but the browser screen freezes immediately after login. I can telnet the machine though, and CLI configure it without issues. The GUI problem occours with all the browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Edge, Explorer: latest versions) I tried.
Nothing else is connected to the switch (just out of the box), just the windows 10 machine I try to login from. Both Windows and third partied antivirus are switched off for the trials.
As the unit was shipped from HPE to replace a defective one, I assume this must be me doing something wrong, but I am out of ideas. Any help would be much appreciated!

Can you share 'show log' output?
Thanks!

Re: Frozen GUI on Aruba 2920 (j9727a)
I re-logged in with another machine (win 7 now, IP addr. 192.168.0.125) after rebooting the switch and this is the "show log" while the browser is still frozen on the starting page:

SolutionHello,
Device is running on very old version: 16.02.0012
Can you please upgrade the software to 16.02.0028?
This might resolve the issue.
Thanks!

Re: Frozen GUI on Aruba 2920 (j9727a)
Can you try clearing the browser cache/cookies. If still issue persists, as 'akg7' recommended, you may try upgrading the switch software. If the problem still persists, you can contact the support number refering the case id against which you got the replacement so that TAC login to the device remotely and troubleshoot.

Re: Frozen GUI on Aruba 2920 (j9727a)
Thank you drk787 and akg7 !
Upgrading to firmware 16.02.0028 (28/10/2019) did the trick and GUI is finally available on the switch.
I noticed that more recent firmware are available (e.g. 16.10.0011 01/01/2021 or also 16.09.0014 03/12/2020): is it advisable to upgrade to one of these before putting the switch back to operations?
