Hi
im new to this forum and need some help on a few issues,
i have a Vrigin Media Broadband Router, HP Procurve 2626 POE switch, 4 POE cctv cameras, HP Microserver GEN8 and Windows 7 pc
what i wanted to know was how do i configure my HP Procurve switch to connect 4 POE cameras that i can view on my HP Microserver which has windows 2012 R2 and store the video data.
I have a serial connection from my home pc to the switch for back end connection to check the config
i dont want to use a NVR as there limited to what i can use and view, id like to use my HP Microserver as a nvr.
My Equipment:
Virgin Media Broad Band Router
HP Procurve 2626 POE Switch
4 x POE CCTV Cameras
HP Microserver GEN8 - windows 2012 r2
Home PC windows 7
i know im asking allot but would be great full if someone could help please

Re: HP PROCURVE 2626 POE SWITCH
Hi,
I think your question is to how to store DATA in server instead of NVR.
Hope you have given ip to all the Cameras. just check it on entering IP in browser if all ok. Then Next Steps is to check the brand of Cameras you have. Go to the manfactures website and Download IVMS (Intelligent Video Management System) and install it in the server and configure your Cameras & Storage. You are Done.
Hope the answer is clear.
Thanks & Regards,
Shiju Chacko
