HP ProCurve Switch not Routing between VLAN's

Hi Chaps,

I have a HP ProCurve 2610 switch, I have the following VLAN configuration:

Firewall 192.168.1.254 (Internet Access)

VLAN 2 100

IP ADDRESS 172.16.100.1/22

VLAN 3 150

IP ADDRESS: 172.16.114.1/24

VLAN 4 666

IP ADDRESS 192.168.1.1/24

In the routing table I have the following

0.0.0.0/0 192.168.1.254 666 STATIC

172.16.100.0/22 100 CONNECTED

172.16.114.0/24 150 CONNECTED

When I try to ping for example 192.168.1.1 from a Server with the IP Address 172.16.114.5 with DG 172.16.114.1 I get Destination Host unavalible

When I try to ping 172.16.114.5 or 1 from the Firewall i get the same message.

Any suggestion as to why this is happening?

Re: HP ProCurve Switch not Routing between VLAN's

Could be two different issues:

1. The server has a more specific route for 192.168.1.0 and isn't using its default route as you are expecting.

2. The FW does not have a route for the 172.16. subnets.

First step is ensuring everything can ping its default GW, as well - need to make that clear.
