Hello,
we use HP procurve switches.
I am setting up a VLAN and I have a question about the CLI command "ip address":
Does this only configure the IP address for the switch in the own VLAN?
Or what does the command do?
Kind regards
Tobias H.

SolutionAFAIK the ip address command requires to be executed into a proper VLAN context...first you must enter into an existing VLAN (or creating one), then - once into the VLAN context - you can define the VLAN IP interface by addressing it.
