HP Switch 2920, two DHCP server
Hello every body,
I am deploying a solution of DHCP relay on an HP L3 2920 Switch. My question is very simple and Google does not find an answer for it : What is the priority between the DHCP servers on my switch?? The first IP address? The second ? or a random between the servers ??
Dears,

Re: HP Switch 2920, two DHCP server
If you define multiple ip helper addresses, on receipt of DHCP discover packter, the DHCP relay will send unicast addresses to both simultaneously. Both server might respond (2 DHCP offers) , the client will pick just one in its DHCP request

Re: HP Switch 2920, two DHCP server
If you *want* a priority, you configure the "Delay in DHCP Offer" option on your secondary DHCP server to, for example, 1000ms.
