I have to work on HP ProCurve 3500yl J8693A POE switch but it is showing a fault

Hi  All,

I have given a switch HP Procurve 3500yl J8693A switch and after self test it shows a fault: Fault Led blinking.

But for this fault there is no solution given in Guide and Installtion.

Also when I connect the switch through console port to my laptop the command line is blank.

That means it gets connected but the  cmd is blank.

Are you sure your serial console's settings (laptop side) are those expected (9600 baud, 8 data bits, No Parity, 1 stop bit and flow control set to Xon/Xoff)? if so - and no console appears - it's totally possible you're dealing with a Switch Hardware failure...
